Michael E. Butza's Obituary
Michael E. Butza, age 73, passed away on August 3, 2022 at his residence in Columbia, Illinois.
Michael, born on April 23, 1949, was raised in the St Louis Metropolitan area. In the early 1980’s, he moved to Austin, Texas. Michael lived in Austin for over 30 years and owned a cleaning company, The Upstairs Maid. After his retirement, Michael moved back to the St Louis area and resided in Columbia, Illinois.
Michael had a full life and enjoyed a number of hobbies; he especially enjoyed boating, scuba diving, gambling, cigar smoking, motorcycle riding, racing cars, and just tinkering around his house, garage, and yard.
Michael is survived by two children and four grandchildren.
A wake will be held at Leesman Funeral Home, 218 S. Metter Ave., Columbia, IL., 62236 on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 3pm-5pm.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the National Motorcycle Safety Fund, 2 Jenner, Suite 150, Irving, CA 92618 (or call 949-727-3227, ext. 3064).
