Melvin H. Stamm's Obituary
Melvin H. Stamm, 90, of Columbia, IL, and formerly of East Carondelet, IL, passed away at The Bridges of Columbia Independent Living Center, Columbia, IL. He was born in St. Louis, MO, the son of the late Gustav and Bessie (Foster) Stamm. He had owned and operated Banty Excavating, Dupo, IL and had been a member of American Legion Post #581 Columbia, IL, Life Member of the V.F.W. Post 6368, Dupo, IL, and Operating Engineers Local 513. He served as a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was married to Emma (Tabers) Stamm, who survives him. They were married on February 3, 1940, at St. Louis, MO.
