Melvin L. Gasser's Obituary
He was born in Floraville, IL, son of the late Otto and Frieda (Bryant) Gasser. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 yrs., Mildred 'Millie' Gasser, along with two brothers Willard and Howard Gasser.He had served in the U.S. Naval Reserves during WW II, and had been a member of American Legion Post #581, Columbia, IL. Mr. Gasser was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and was a charter member of the Christ Community Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL.He enjoyed woodworking, particularly furniture making and caning, wine making, travel, reading, and fishing.
