Melvin E Bush's Obituary
Melvin Eugene Bush, 87 of Dupo, Ill., born, April 13, 1927 in Sparta, Ill., passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at his daughter’s house in Swansea, Ill.
Mr. Bush retired from Monsanto after 39 years and was the owner of Bush T.V. Service. He was a member of the Monsanto Retirees and was Past President of the Dupo School Board. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Mr. Bush was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Louise Bush, nee Young, his daughter, Melinda D. Hensler, his sister, Betty Chandler and his parents, Albert & Hazel Bush.
Mr. Bush is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Howard) Kolman of Belleville, Ill., Marsha (Bill) Peck of Swansea, Ill. & Denise Mathis of Dupo, Ill., his grandchildren, Christina (Jason) Beggs, Aaron (Angie) Peck, Adam (Michele) Peck, Justin Mathis & Jason (Michelle) Kolman, her great grandchildren, Brady Beggs, Noble Peck, Brennan Peck & Quinn Peck and his lifelong friend, Daphine Hoffmann. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., with Dr. Jim Kerr, officiating.
Interment will be in Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery in Columbia, Ill., with military honors.
