Maybelle D. 'Mabel' Carron's Obituary
Maybelle D. 'Mabel', nee Kleinschmidt, Carron, 91 years old, of Millstadt, IL, passed away on January 30, 2015, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 26, 1923, in Millstadt, IL, the daughter of the late William and Charlotte, nee Oerter, Kleinschmidt. She was married to Christopher Carron, who survives her. They were married March 11, 1944, in Millstadt, IL. Mabel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Millstadt, IL. She had worked at the Rayon Factory in Millstadt from 1944 - 1946 as a seamstress. After that she became a full time homemaker, and together with her husband, tended to the family farm. Whether tending to the animals or working in the fields, they always did everything together. She was an excellent cook, known for her 'farm-size' meals. She loved to do embroidery work and her home is still filled with her finished pictures and quilts. She enjoyed the senior bowling league at St. Clair Bowl for many years. Everyone that knew her would agree that she was the kindest person they had ever met, never speaking an unkind word to, or about anyone. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, gramma and nana.
