Mathew was preceded in death by his parents: F. W. and Evelyn DeJarnette, his great niece: Madison DeJarnette and his mother-in-law: Winona Waln. Mathew is survived by his wife Brenda DeJarnette, his son: Matthew F. DeJarnette, step-daughter: Angela McKnight, step-son: Jacob McKnight, brothers: Frank (Chris) DeJarnette and Mark DeJarnette, granddaughter: McKenzie McKnight, grandson Aaron Polacek, father-in-law: Leland Waln, sisters-in-law: Pamela Shearer and Deborah Dwyer, nephews: Michael and Karen DeJarnette and son Bradley, Josh and Cathy DeJarnette and children Kaden and DJ, niece: Danielle DeJarnette, step-niece: Heather and Ian Martin. Also survived by Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a multitude of friends. Mathew was a 1983 graduate of Dupo Community High School. He worked for the St. Clair County Roads and Bridges Highway Department and he was an Aircraft Weapons System Specialist in the Marine Corps. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
