Mrs. Doxey was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married May 16, 1931 and died July 22, 2002: Willie Joe Doxey, her parents: Ephraim Marcus and Lona Edna, nee Demming, Noel, her step father: Logan Telus Mann, her step brother: Virgil E. Mann and wife: V. Margaret, her step brother: H. Wayne Mann and wife: Jane, her step sister: Roza J. (Mann) Howerton and husband: Louis A., her nephew: Lloyd W. Mann, her nephew: William Howerton, her niece: Ludene (Howerton) Klein. She is survived by her niece: Emma Jean (Mann) and Willard Krick of El Segundo, CA., her niece: Pat Mann of St. Louis, MO., her niece: Sue (Mann) and Jim Wilson of St. Louis, MO., her great niece: Diana (Mann) and G. Clint Phillips of Millstadt, IL., along with other great nephews & nieces, great great nephews & nieces and great great great niece and cousins. She graduated from high school in Carterville, IL. She came to St. Louis, MO. around the age of 16 and worked in a shoe factory. Later over the years she was a manager of several well known ladies clothing shops in downtown St. Louis, MO. Marybelle was a caregiver who took care of her parents in their elder years, she took in numerous family members during the depression until they were able to get back on their feet, and all throughout her life took care of or helped anyone in any way that really needed help. Memorials may be made to Cottage Home Baptist Church or Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes.
