Mary Louise Weldele's Obituary
Mary Louise Weldele, nee Mehrmann, 91 years of Millstadt, IL, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Bria of Columbia in Columbia, IL. She was born September 16, 1932, in Floraville, IL.
Mary had worked at Chrome Craft making tables and chairs in St. Louis, MO., and later for the Belleville Shoe Company in Belleville, IL. She enjoyed crocheting, and taking camping trips with her husband Joe on the motor cycle and with their 5th wheel. She always had her special poodle Gigi with her and she was an exceptional caregiver to others.
Surviving are her son, Michael Weldele, her granddaughters, Amber Weldele (Jon Borcharding), and Andrea (Michael) Brown, her great-grandchildren, Annabelle Brown, Aleczander Brown and Charlie Borcharding, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Calvin and Gladys Weldele, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hugo Weldele, her parents, Emil and Mildred, nee Kleber, Mehrmann, her daughter-in-law, Sherri Weldele, her four sisters, Evelyn Garland, Helen Mueller, Ethel Mae Mehrmann and Elvera Mrozinski and her brother, Robert Mehrmann.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL., with memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Matt Friz, officiating. Interment will follow in the Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo, IL.
