Mary N. Marin's Obituary
Mary N. (Granda) Marin, 91 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away on November 28, 2013. She was born in Taylor Springs, IL, the daughter of the late Joseph and Esperanza (Menendez) Granda.
Besides being a loving wife, homemaker and mother, she worked at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL, for several years. Mary was fond of sharing childhood memories of her family in Fairmont City, IL, and telling stories of her parents' native country, Spain. She was present in New York City's Times Square during VJ day in August 1945, marking the final end to WW II.
She was married to the late Emil "Meeshe" Marin. They were married on June 20, 1946, at Fulton, MO. He had passed away July 30, 2009.
