Mary Ellen Long's Obituary
Mary Ellen Long, 92 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on April 11, 2019 at Integrity Health Care of Columbia, Columbia, IL. She was born April 4, 1927, in Noble, IL, daughter of the late Arthur and Ida, nee Handwerk, Grubb.
Mary was a retired civil servant having worked with DECCO, Scott Air Force Base, IL and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL.
Surviving are her daughter, Rose Marie (Stephen) Conrad of Columbia, IL; son, David Long of Paris, IL; grandchildren, Jordan and Jacob (Danielle) Conrad; great-grandson, Dylan; Sister, Anna Mae (David) Vaeth of Crystola, CO; Two sisters-in-law, Doris Grubb and Joyce Grubb, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Anne Long, sister, Helen Fink, brothers, Robert, Oscar, Lloyd, Francis, Dean and Melvin Grubb; brother-in-law, James Fink; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Weiler.
Mary had gifted her remains to the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO. There will be no public services.
