Mary "Jane" Davis' Obituary
Mary "Jane" Davis, 83 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at Columbia Rehabilitation. and Nursing Center, Columbia, IL. She was born in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Jules and Genevieve (Rapinac) Guimard. She married William J. Davis, Jr., on September 17, 1949 at Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. He preceded her in death in 2002. Jane attended St Patrick’s Grade School and Feitshans High School in Springfield. Along with her husband she lived in the Illinois cities of Springfield, Greenfield, Mazon, Atkinson, Sherman, and in the Columbia area for over 40 years. She worked at Carson Pirie Scott in Peoria. She enjoyed keeping up on the news of her large extended family and collecting family photos, decorating her home, taking care of her large yard, and shopping for bargains of any kind. Her grandchildren were very special to her. Visitation/Services
Cremation rites have been accorded. Per Jane's wishes, no visitation or funeral services will be observed. She will be laid to rest with her husband Bill at Jefferson Barracks Military Cemetery in St. Louis.
