Mary A. Bell's Obituary
Mary Alice Bell, 89 years, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Legacy Emanuel Hospital, Portland, Oregon. She was born July 8, 1932, in Dupo, Illinois. Residents of Dupo, Illinois, San Jose, California, and Columbia, Illinois, formally worked in St. Louis, Missouri and retired from Boitano, Sargent and Lilly in San Jose, California.
A long time member of the First Baptist Church in Dupo where she was active in several church organizations. She graduated from Dupo Community High School in 1949.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Judy (Matthew Van Loo) Bright of Scappoose, Oregon,Kathryn (Brad) DeYoung of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Keegan DeYoung and Nolan DeYoung of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ryan (Kathy) Campbell, Avienda Campbell of Forest Grove, Oregon, Shabri Van Loo, Kyra Van Loo, and Aaron Van Loo of Scappoose, Oregon, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Bell; mother, Gladys (Yates) Bell; two Brothers, Charles F. Bell, Lloyd A. Bell; and a sister, Alma L. (Bill) Bright;
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL., with Rev. Roger Reid, officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Evangelical Cemetery, in Columbia, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to First Baptist Church, Dupo, Illinois, 620 Godin Ave., Dupo, Illinois, 62239.
