He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence Howard and Vera Elmeretta, nee Bilizing, Bivins. He is survived by his children: Marvin Bivins Jr. of Steele, MO., Jean Ann Pierce of Dupo, IL., Christopher M. Bivins and Korin Bivins both of Steele, MO., brothers: Roger Bivins, Raymond Bivins, Norman Bivins, Wade Bivins and Joe Bivins, sisters: Vera Freppon and Carla Griffith, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Marvin was a retired carman from the Missouri Pacific/Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member and past Commander of VFW Post 6368 in Dupo, IL. Marvin Enjoyed doing arts and crafts and he was a United States Navy Veteran. Memorials may be made to the Donor's Choice.
