Marvin Bradshaw's Obituary
Marvin Bradshaw, 89 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on November 19, 2024 at his residence. He was born August 1, 1935, in East St. Louis, IL. to the late Richard and Clara (nee Jackson) Bradshaw.
Marvin married Ruth Ann Macke and they enjoyed 47 years of marriage before her passing in 2005.
Marvin was a U.S. Army veteran and a member and past Commander of American Legion Post 485 in Dupo. Marvin retired from Hunter Meat Packing in East St. Louis after 25 years. Upon retirement Marvin started working for the St. Louis Cardinals as a member of the Ground Crew retiring from there after 15 years of service. Marvin was an avid sports fan and especially loved the baseball Cardinals. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He will be greatly missed by all that had a chance to know him.
Surviving are his Son, Tony Bradshaw of Dupo, IL; Granddaughters, Bailey (Connor) Pelate and Shea Bradshaw; Great-Granddaughters, Sloane Pelate and Sawyer Pelate; Brother, Autie Bradshaw; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Ruth Ann Bradshaw; Father, Richard Bradshaw; Mother, Clara Bradshaw; Son, Alan Ray Bradshaw; Two Brothers, Harold Bradshaw and Samuel "Bub" Bradshaw; Five Sisters, Marie Koehler, Mildred Pulcher, Stella Schmid, Ruby Davis and Altafay Jarvis.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL. Services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024, 12:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home with Jim Jarvis officiating. Interment with full Military Honors will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
