Martin "Marty" Lewis Beyer's Obituary
Martin "Marty" Lewis Beyer, 58 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on April 23, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 16, 1959, in Ithaca, NY. He was married to Marilee, nee Smith, Beyer, who survives him. They were married on May 18, 1982, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Marty had retired after having served 20 yrs., in the U.S. Navy. He had also retired from AT&T, where he had been a network center technician. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Also surviving are his children, Sean (Kirsten) Beyer, Marissa (Jared) Barnes, Matthew Beyer, Jeremy (Sarah) Beyer, and Brendan (Jessica) Beyer; granddaughters, Karilee and Lily Barnes; his mother, Erma, nee Woody Beyer; sisters, Connie (Curt) Hankammer, and Kari (Hal) Hanson; and brother, Jim Beyer; nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by father, Charles Beyer, along with a brother, Kevin Beyer.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 26, 2018, 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 900 Park St., Waterloo, IL. Funeral Services will be held 6:00 pm, Thursday April 26, 2018 at the church, with President Earl Evans officiating. Interment will take place in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
