Martin "Marty" Assmann, 67 years of Millstadt, IL, passed away on June 12, 2024 at his residence. He was born August 2, 1956, in Dunlap, IA.
Marty was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved reading, doing word puzzles, playing euchre and the family dogs. Marty was extremely kind to everyone, easy going and he never complained about anything.
Surviving are his Siblings, Jane Levy, Mike (Dione) Assmann, Kate (Chuck) Cruse, and Pat Assmann, his nephew, Shane Assmann, his niece, Shannon (Steven) Williams, his great nephews, Vincent, Lenox and Connell Williams, his step nephews, Jack, Chris, Matt & Nathan (fiancee: Leah) Levy, his step great nieces & nephews, Tucker, Brooks, Charlie, Scarlett, Aurora & Max, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Assmann; and his brother-in-law, Jack Levy.
Marty's wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to American Heart Association.
Arrangements were handled by Leesman Funeral Home.
