Martha Ann Clepper's Obituary
Martha Ann Clepper, nee Stewart, 92, of Millstadt, Ill., born August 17, 1923 in Belleview, MO., baptized on June 24 1924, passed away peacefully Monday, April 25, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.
Martha and her late husband, Gene were the owners of Crystal Grill and Cafeteria in St. Louis for over 60 years. She was a faithful church and Sunday school attender throughout her entire life, most recently at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill. She was an avid bowler, she enjoyed reading, and was always ready to go places and do new things.
Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene D. Clepper Sr., her parents, Joseph C. & Lena Stewart, nee Russell, her brother, Lyle Stewart, her sisters-in-law, Edna & Thelma Stewart, her grandson, E. David (Clepper III) Brown, her great grandson, Sean LeFlair and her step-grandson, Christopher Crim.
She is survived by her children, Carol J. (John) LeBrell, E. David (April) Clepper Jr. & Marjorie (Rev. Darrell) Weber, her grandchildren, Amy (Brian) Amelung, Carrie LeBrell, David (Lisa) Clepper, Amanda (Mike) LeFlair, Melissa, Joshua & Dr. Rachel Weber, her great grandchildren, Caleigh, Abigail & Lincoln Amelung, Riley, Landon, Lily & Uriah Clepper, Caleb & Emma LeFlair, her step-grandchildren, Tommy, Tyler & Jimmy, her brother, Charles M. Stewart of O’Fallon, Ill. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & many friends.
Memorials may be made to Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill., or Donor’s Choice.
Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill.
Memorial service will be on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill., with Rev. Darrell Weber, officiating.
At Mrs. Clepper’s request, she was cremated.
