Marlene Mary Bruehl's Obituary
Marlene M. Bruehl, nee Seibert, age 89, of Millstadt, IL born February 11, 1933 in Belleville, IL passed away on February 12, 2022.
When Marlene was a young girl, she loved to tap dance and often received encores for her performances. Additionally, she was a majorette with school bands for many years. Marlene married her high school sweetheart, Wilbert H. Bruehl, on March 8, 1952, and she found great joy in raising 3 children together. She also worked at an insurance agency and Scott AFB for 13 years. Marlene was a devoted grandmother who delighted in watching her two grandchildren grow. She also treasured holidays spent with her extended family. In her later years, Marlene brought smiles to many as an active member of the Millstadt Kitchen Band and a regular at local bingo events and Senior Center activities.
Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert H. Bruehl, their two daughters Lynn and Sharon, her parents Paul Sr. and Arline Seibert, nee Klemme, and her brothers Edward and Paul Jr.
Marlene is survived by her son Terry Bruehl of Atlanta, GA, daughter-in-law Ann, grandchildren Elizabeth and William, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. We respectfully request no flowers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 11AM to 12PM at Leesman Funeral Home, Millstadt, IL immediately followed by funeral services at 12PM with Reverend Darrell Weber officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen Cemetery, Millstadt, IL.
