Marlen D. "Toby" Curten, 76 years of Evansville, IL, passed away on August 23, 2017 at Randolph County Care Center, . He was born April 19, 1941, in Red Bud, Ill..
Toby was retired from the Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor and he was also a rancher. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prairie du Rocher, IL. & the Prairie du Rocher Saddle Club.
Surviving are two Sons, Wade (Shannon) Curten of Saint Clair, MO, Matthew (Kris) Curten of Ruma, IL., grandchildren, Jessica (John) Young, Chelsea Curten, Jenna (Zach) Zeidat, Levi (Abigail) Curten, Lucas Curten and Jacob (Brandi) Curten, 4 great grandchildren, Olivia Young, Chloe Curten and 2 on the way, sister, Dixie Schettler, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by wife, Karon Curten, his parents, Joe & Sadie, nee Birch, Curten and an infant daughter, Crystal Lynn.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, Ill.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, Ill., with Pastor Steve Neill, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ellis Grove Cemetery, Ellis Grove , Ill.
