My deepest sympathy Jocelyn and to your family⚘
My friend Mark Hargis. It’s hard for me to remember a time without Mark. In grade school he was my friend who in baseball pitched for a team that would beat my team always. In high school he was my good friend who I would share many super times in baseball and Legion baseball together meeting many new friends. I still remember Mark firing a fastball seemingly going 90+ mph that buzzed my head and I looked up to see him smiling the boyish grin that would make Mark the competitor that I always loved when he was on my side.
After college I would spend almost every weekend with Mark and my friends talking about life, of course girls, and just having fun.
Mark had great parents, Byron and Gayle, who always treated me like I was part of the family. And I would love going to Marks house to see if one of Mark’s beautiful older sisters might be home.
But what made Mark one of my best friends was that if I ever needed anything, no matter what he was always there. He would never ask why just when. Both he and his beautiful wife Marie would always be there.
I will forever remember my friend Mark Hargis. He was a great father, a loyal husband, a loving brother and one of the truest friends. God has been so good to me. And one of those tremendous joys that was provided was my great friendships with Mark Hargis. I love you Mark.

Mark was an old friend from B.A.C. baseball years and after that MonClair baseball in Columbia. We ran into each other now and then and have a cold 1 and remember old times. My 1st year there at college we had a spring trip to Galveston TX. It was his 2nd year there and I was so lucky to get Mark as my roommate on away trips . He was always alot of fun to be around. I looked up to him like a mentor. The world lost a really great guy but heaven got a true gentleman R I P MY BROTHER
There are no words to Describe Mark except a Loving and Caring Man. I had the Honor of knowing him for 36 years and getting to know him thru my Husband Don they were like Brothers( Not Cousins) and just could always pick up where they left off. Mark and I always gave each a Name when we would talk on the phone. I would say hi Fred and he'd say hi Ethel we always had different names just as Don and him had for each other. Love You Mark and Im glad to have had you as Family.I know you will be watching over all ofUs here. Give my Love to Blaine I'm sure you two have had a few Conversations already. Love You Lynda.
I remember dropping in the old K-2 coldroom now and then if I saw Mark and we would talk about many things, we had a lot in common and developed a friendship over the years. Mark was a good man and will missed J. Novak
My deepest condolences to the family. I didn’t know Mark really well but I do remember when the girls were younger we would come over and he would make us some excellent Bloody Mary’s while the girls were doing girly things. My heart breaks for all of you. ❤️ 🙏
