Mark Carl Bartel's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we say goodbye to Mark C. Bartel, who passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Friday, April 18. Mark was born in Ypsilanti, Mich., on Aug. 7, 1985, to Valeri Strang (nee Miller) and Gary Bartel. Mark was a devoted son, brother, friend and, above all else, father to his beautiful daughter, Audria. Mark earned his GED before attending the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Phoenix, Ariz. Mark was just beginning to revive his construction company and working on plans to start flipping houses. With Mark, it was always about how fast he could go or how much trouble he could cause. He loved motorcycles and kept his lost ôbrothersö close to his heart at all times. When he wasnÆt out riding, he could be found shooting guns at his momÆs farm or playing with kids, a role that revealed his softer side and showed the devotion Mark always had to ôraising kids right.ö Beneath MarkÆs tough exterior was a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone, and carried so much love in his heart. At a date to be announced, the family will hold a memorial celebration of MarkÆs life to remember him the way they believe he would have wanted: surrounded by friends, fun and a big, big fire. The family will post details to MarkÆs Facebook page and ask everyone to spread the word.
