Marjorie M. Mergelkamp, 91 years old, of Baldwin, IL, passed away on August 09, 2025, at Addington Place of Sparta, Sparta, IL. She was born on September 27, 1933, in St. Louis, MO.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, IL, the Randolph County Farm Bureau and the Randolph County Pork Producers. She worked in the banking industry for years, first in Kirkwood, MO, then in Red Bud, IL. She also assisted her late husband, Donald J. Mergelkamp, with their family farming operation in Baldwin, IL.
She is survived by her Son Larry (Janice) Mergelkamp of Baldwin, IL; her Daughter Carol Hinton, of Baldwin, IL; her Grandchildren, Jeremy (Peter Sutton) Hinton, of St. Louis, MO; Josie (Alison) Hinton of Baldwin, IL; John Hinton of Baldwin, IL; Chad (Laura) Mergelkamp of Baldwin, IL; and Trevor Mergelkamp of Baldwin, IL. 6 Great Grandchildren, her Sister Virginia Doll of Fayette, MO; her Sister-In-Law Diane Boling of St. Louis, MO; Nephews, Nieces, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Donald J. Mergelkamp; her Father, E.G. McQuay; her Mother Ada L. McQuay nee Gossage; her Brother Donald McQuay; her Brother-In Laws; her Sister-In-Laws; and her Nephews.
Services with Mass will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, IL, with Rev. Iuvenis Iheme, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery in Red Bud, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society or the American Breast Cancer Foundation or in the form of Masses.
