13 kids at Hilltoppers, with a bad storm on the way. Aunt Margie to the rescue in her little red Ford Falcon. Two kids under the back window on the ledge, three big kids in the back seat with 3 little kids sitting on their laps. Two big kids in the front seat with little ones on their lap and Margie behind the wheel. The Coopers, Wooters, and Barkers all made it home safely. Our hero!
Marguerite and Lucille, that little preemie you helped save all those years ago in Gale, IL, did all right in life. Three terrific sons, my cousins, and a lot of great memories are proof.
Thanks Aunt Margie for being there and for always encouraging me in my schooling. It meant so much, so very much.
