Marilyn Davenport's Obituary
Marilyn Davenport, 55 years of East Carondelet, IL, passed away on January 31, 2020 at de Greeff Hospice House, St. Louis County, MO. She was born July 3, 1964, in St. Louis, MO. She married Frederick Davenport on January 19, 1985 in Cahokia, IL. They celebrated 35 years together this past January.
Marilyn was a member of First Baptist Church in Dupo, IL. She enjoyed bowling, the washers league, and time with family and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Fred Davenport; her children, Bernita Davenport, Frederick (Christina) Davenport, Phillip (Ruthie) Davenport, Daniel (Amanda) Davenport, Margaret (Brandon) Peterson and Ashley (Micah) Carr; her sister, Mary (Brian) Russell; her grandchildren, Connor Smitt, Madden Davenport, Dylan Davenport, Samuel Davenport, Hayleigh Carr, Austyn Carr and Samuel Carr, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mary, nee Stevens, Moore; her sister, Ruth Lener; and her grandparents, Thomas (Mary) Stevens and Albert (Bernita) Moore.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, from 4-8 pm at First Baptist Church in Dupo, IL and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 11:30 am at the church, with Roger Reid officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
In lieu of customary remembrances, Marilyn requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Frederick L. Davenport to help with medical expenses.
