Marie Koerber's Obituary
Marie Koerber, 91 years of Freeburg, IL, passed away on November 9, 2018 at Cedar Trails Senior Living in Freeburg, IL, She was born March 27, 1927, in Floraville, IL.
Marie was a retired garment worker at Artemis Gossard garment factory in Millstadt, IL. She was a past sundaySchool Superintendent and teacher, the winner of the Jr. Grange Matron of the Nation in 1978, Jr. Grange Matron of Floraville Community Grange for 7 years. She has been an active member of St. Paul U.C.C. Floraville Choir and Women's Fellowship. She was an officer in the Floraville Modern Woodmen of America Camp #3829, Chairman of the W.A.C. of Floraville Community Grange, and was active in the St. Clair County Pomona Grange. Marie enjoyed quilting and putting puzzles together and playing cards at the Senior Living Center.
Surviving are sons, Larry (Betty) Koerber and Stan (Kay) Koerber, sister-in-law, Leona Franke, grandchildren, Denise (Jarrod) McGraw, Deena Beck, Diana (Steve) Trapper, Bart (Dana) Robards, Kim Robards, Tanya (Jim) Smith, Todd (Amy) Koerber, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Orville Koerber, parents, Harry and Anna, nee Boll, Franke, brothers, Leroy (Verida) Franke, and Wilbur Franke.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2018, from 2 - 6 p.m., at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL, and Monday, November 12, 2018, from 10 - 11 a.m., at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL. Services will be held Monday, November 12, 2018, at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL, with Reverend Matt Friz officiating. Interment will follow in the Vallhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
