Mrs. Pieper was born in Rector, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Charlie and Myrtle Sumnler, nee Miller.She was retired as a seamstress for Carle, Inc., was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL, Columbia Senior Citizens, and was an avid Bridge player and loved to read.
