Margie L Honey's Obituary
Margie L. Honey, nee Childers 81, of Dupo, Ill., born, October 9, 1933 in Clinton, KY., began her eternal journey on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, Ill.
Margie had worked for IGA in Dupo, Save Mart in Collinsville and her career ended as a sample lady at Sam’s Club. Margie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dupo, Ill.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Honey, her brother, Ray B. Childers, and her parents, Thomas and Maudie, nee West, Childers.
She is survived by her brother, Jerold Childers of Reno, Nevada, her children, Carol (Dan) Kupferer of Colorado Springs, CO., Frank “Tommy” (LuAnn) Beck of Columbia, Ill., Martha Ross of Cahokia, Ill., and Laura (Kevin) Hettenhausen of Highland, Ill. 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Freeburg Care Center activities fund
Visitation will be on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Dupo, Ill.
Funeral services will be on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Dupo, Ill., with Rev. Roger Reid, officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.
