Marge M. Sander's Obituary
Margaret 'Marge' Sander, 91 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on February 24, 2018 at Integrity Health Care of Columbia, Columbia, IL. She was born March 15, 1926, in St. Louis, MO, daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth, nee Kunkler, Forthaus.
Marge had worked as a clerk at Alumax, St. Louis, MO. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and the American Legion Post 581 Aux., Columbia, IL.
Surviving are her brother, Ray (Ann) Forthaus of St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law, Marilyn Forthaus of St. Louis, MO; two step-sons, Joe (Debbie) Sander of Columbia, IL, and Mike (Betsy) Sander of Columbia, IL; two step-daughters, JoAnn Sander of Columbia, IL, and Mary (Michael) Horn of Oakville, MO; four step-grandchildren, Jessica (Dan) Strabley, Jon (Amanda) Sander, Kate (Jon) Collum, and Leah Horn; step-great-grandchildren, Emmalyn, Addelyn, Jack, Avery, and Olivia; nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Stanley M. Jamruk; 2nd husband, William J. Sander; and two brothers, George and Hank Forthaus.
Visitation will be Friday, March 2, 2018, 9:00 am - 10:00 am, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, at 10:00 am, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Fr. Carl Scherrer, officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
