Margaret Beth Ryan's Obituary
Margaret Beth Ryan (nee Dobson), aged 78, passed away on October 4, 2024, in Smithton, Illinois. Born on January 26, 1946, in Grafton, Illinois. Margaret was a loving figure in the lives of her family and friends.
Margaret dedicated many years of her life to her career as an electrician, from which she retired early, allowing her more time to pursue her passions. She was an avid gardener, and her talents extended to quilting, crocheting, and many other crafts, bringing beauty and warmth into the lives of those around her.
Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, deeply involved in the lives of her family members. She is survived by her daughters, Saundra (Mike) Saileau of St. Louis, MO, and Carol (Thomas) Spenader of Mulberry, FL; and her son, Kevin Patrick Ryan of Millstadt, IL. Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers, Charles B. Dobson, David M. Dobson and Robert Scott Dobson; and sisters, Laura L. Mielke and Kathleen R. Waters.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Patrick J. Ryan, her parents, William Edgar and Lorena (Banfield) Dobson, and her siblings, William Edgar Dobson Jr., Etta Ann Hall, Regina C. Godar, Bernard L. Dobson, Judith K. Bick, Richard D. Dobson, and Paul B. Dobson.
In accordance with her family's wishes, Margaret will be cremated and laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Edwardsville, IL. Her memory will be cherished through the lives she touched and the love she spread during her time with us.
