Marcellus "Marc" Anthony Eckert, 81 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away on July 12, 2011. He was born in North Dupo, IL, the son of the late Edward and Irene (Masserang) Eckert. He had worked at Midwest Rubber Co., Sauget, IL, as a Superintendent, had been a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL, and the U.S. Army Reserves. He was married to Jean Ann (Gummersheimer) Eckert, who survives him. They were married on June 12, 1954, at Columbia, IL.
