OBITUARY
Marcella Elizabeth Netemeyer
Marcella Elizabeth Netemeyer, 92 formerly of Columbia, IL., born August 29, 1932 in Aviston, IL., to the late Henry and Rosa Lohman, passed away on March 9, 2025, at Solstice Senior Living in Fenton, MO.
Marcella was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always loved being with her family. She, along with her husband, Harold, enjoyed boating, skiing and camping in their early years and were fortunate enough to travel the world extensively together in retirement where they visited all around Europe and South America. They even lived in Spruce Creek, FL. for 10 years before settling back in the local area. Professionally, Marcella will be fondly remembered for being a hairdresser in Columbia, IL., for over 20 years.
Surviving are her children, Philip (Cindy) Netemeyer, Tim (Diane) Netemeyer, Joyce Clark and Beth (Jeff) Rogers; grandchildren, Alex (Beth) Netemeyer, Adam (Hannah) Netemeyer, Clayton (Courtney) Clark, Stephanie (Alex) Lee, Garrett Rogers, Alexandra Rogers and Harrison Rogers; great-grandchildren, Charles, Clara, Greta, Cali, Carson, Beckett and Ellery; sister, Mary Ann Grapperhaus; sister-in-law, Florence Lohman along with other relatives and friends.
As well as her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by her dear husband, Harold Netemeyer; granddaughter, Angel Koester; son-in-law, Steve Clark.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2025, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL. Funeral Mass will proceed at Noon with Fr. Steve Thoma officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
