Lucille S. Rieso's Obituary
Lucille S. Rieso, 86 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on January 25, 2019 at Oak Hill Care Center, Waterloo, IL. She was born August 27, 1932, in Manchester, MO, daughter of the late Armin and Mildred, nee Kuni, Schlemmer. She was married to the late Ellard F. Rieso. They were married November 19, 1950, in Columbia, IL. He had passed away January 13, 2013.
Lucille had retired from International Shoe Co., St. Louis, MO, where she had managed the payroll department. Memberships included St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL, St. Clair County Farm Bureau, Monsanto Retirees Club Local #12, and American Legion Post 581 Aux., Columbia, IL
Surviving are two daughters, Karen (Richard) Neff, and Kathy (Clancy) Richey; four grandchildren, Amanda (Tony) Hummert, Zachary Neff, Cole Richey, and Connor Richey, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Armin Schlemmer, Jr., and Paul F. Schlemmer, along with a sister, Violet E. Mees-Himsted.
Visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2019, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Lawlor Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Goddard officiating. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
