Lucille Koester's Obituary
Lucille Koester, nee Prange, 83 years of Red Bud, IL., passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud, IL. She was born November 22, 1934, in Wine Hill, IL.
Lucille worked 4 years at restaurants during high school and at Egyptian Electric for 5 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Red Bud (Prairie), IL., secretary and treasurer of the Lower Kaskaskia LWML Zone, Mary Martha Mission Society, Church Choir, Wrens Group with Christ Our Savior Lutheran High School.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Sarah) Koester; her Two Daughters, Sharon (Roger) Langrehr & Joyce (Tom) McDaniel; her grandchildren, Andrea (Caleb) Sattler, Justin (Blake) Langrehr, Elizabeth, Grace, Matthew & David Koester and Evan & Drew McDaniel; her great grandchildren, Micah, Leah & Elijah Sattler; her brothers, Vernon (Joyce) Prange & Delbert (Sherry) Prange; her brother-in-law& sister-in-law, Vernon (Joyce) Koester; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Alvin O. Koester; her parents, Raymond & Clara, nee Behrens, Prange, her sister, Margaret (Robert) Schwarz and a brother in infancy.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, IL. and on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Red Bud (Prairie), IL.
Services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Red Bud, (Prairie) IL., with Rev. Scott Hojnacki, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Red Bud (Prairie), IL.
