Louise V. Hulsey's Obituary
Louise V. Hulsey, nee Schmidt, 96 of Dupo, Ill., passed away peacefully in her home on April 6, 2018. She was born on March 24th, 1922, in Belleville, Illinois. Louise was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dupo, Illinois and was the oldest living member of the Dupo American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 485, and was a member for 71 years. She had previously owned Dairyland in Dupo and worked many other various jobs throughout her life.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, George Morris Hulsey Jr., her father Fred Schmidt, her mother Christine Prior, nee Popp, her step-father, Frank Prior and her brother, Fred Schmidt.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jean Smallenberger of Belleville, and her two sons, George Michael Hulsey, and Roger Dean (Carla) Hulsey of Dupo, her three grandchildren, Arthur (Stacy) Smallenberger of Charleston, Ill., Christine (Dave) Rejniak of Belleville, Ill., and Caroline (Kelly) Satterfield of Dupo, Ill., her great grandchildren, Michael Halfhill Jr., Dylan Rejniak, and Ashley Rejniak, all of Belleville, Ill., Alex Smallenberger, Christopher Smallenberger, and Hunter Campbell, all of Charleston, Ill., Conner Satterfield, and Cristen Satterfield, both of Dupo, Ill., along with other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., on Tuesday, April 10th from 4 pm-8 pm.
Graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Illinois on Wednesday, April 11th, at 10 am.
