Louis J. Schneider, 89 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at Garden Place of Columbia, IL. He was born in Columbia, IL, the son of the late Louis and Emilie (Stoll) Schneider. Louis had worked at the Columbia Quarry as a foreman, was a member of American Legion Post 581, Columbia, IL, the Columbia Senior Citizens, and was an avid coin collector and photographer. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a WW II Veteran. He was married to the late Marcella (Bergmann) Schneider. They were married on December 29, 1957, at Columbia, IL. She passed away January 21, 2005.
