Lorraine "Rain" Ida Kossina, 85 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at Oak Hill Care Center, Waterloo, IL. She was born in Columbia, IL, the daughter of the late Henry and Emma, nee Daab, Carle. She was married to the late Edwin O. Kossina. They were married on December 17, 1950, in Columbia, IL. He had passed away May 26, 1999. Lorraine had been a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL, where she had served on the Consistory for three years, and had been a 50 year member and past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star #98 - Rob Morris Chapter, Fairview Heights, IL. Lorraine's family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Oak Hill in Waterloo, as well as the Hospice of Southern IL, for their great care and kindness over the past year and a half.
