Loretta Toenjes was born in Freeburg, Illinois, daughter of the late Henry and Mary nee Heid-Nehring, Eitzenhefer. She was a member of the Altar Sodality of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Monroe County Farm Bureau. She was the wife of the late Emil J. Toenjes, who she married on April 18, 1940, and who had passed away on January 17, 1961.
