My thoughts and prayers are with Nikki and their family. I worked with Lon at the State of West Virginia Division of Juvenile Services and he was a wonderful man. He was extremely helpful to everyone and was a joy to work with. He had a kind heart. When he was in town he came to visit us and he will truly be missed. I will always cherish our friendship.

I am truly sorry for the family’s loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you in this darkest hour. May god grant you comfort and peace.
I worked with Lon here in the Charleston area for years. Our paths crossed many times with the various positions that he held. He was one of the nicest and caring individuals that you could have ever met. His care and concern for the youth we worked with was inspiring. I missed his big smile and great personality when he left the Division of Juvenile Services. He was just an all-around great person to associate with.
