Lola S. Elliott's Obituary
Lola S. Elliott, 91 years old, of Columbia, IL, passed away on December 20, 2020 at Garden View Care Center, O'Fallon, MO. She was born November 17, 1929, in Carmi, IL. She was married to the late John L. Elliott. They were married September 14, 1952, in Carmi, IL. He passed away June 11, 2009.
Lola was a member of Concord Baptist Church, St. Louis, MO. She was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan, who enjoyed reading, playing board games and bridge. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Jane (Ken) Hill of Wentzville, MO, Janet (David) Carpenter of Montgomery, TX, and Michael (Joni) Elliott of Wheeler, IL; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Allen Sailer of Carmi, IL; sister, Alma Stanhope of Albion, IL, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Beulah, nee Winter, Sailer; brothers, Glenn Sailer and Wayne Sailer
Visitation will be Saturday, December 26, 2020, 9:30 am - 10:30 am, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 10:45 am, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, with Pastor Gene Moniz officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
