Lillian H. Schofield's Obituary
Lillian H. Schofield, 89 years of West Frankfort, IL, and formerly of Columbia, IL, passed away on February 9, 2019 at Franklin County Hospital, Benton, IL. She was born November 2, 1929, in Maplewood, IL, daughter of the late August and Marie, nee Junior, Juelfs. She was married to the late Charles E. Schofield, Jr. They were married November 22, 1958. He had passed away June 27, 2012.
Lillian loved being outdoors, doing yard work, gardening, and enjoying the quiet country. Her favorite past time was going antiquing and traveling. She read the Bible every chance she could. She loved her dog, Betty. Lillian dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, Gary L. (Ruth) Chitwood, Charles E. Schofield, III, and William A. (Martha) Schofield; three daughters, Sheila M. (Bill) Hester, Tammy L. (Carl) Littrell, and Edna M. (Tom) Foushee; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy (Rose) Juelfs; sister, Marion Dietch, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Raymond Toth; daughter, Gretchen Marie Schofield; and brother, Elmer Juelfs.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 14, 2019, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 am, Friday February 15, at the funeral home, with Rev. Zenobia Lane, officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
