Lester W. Stueve, 87 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born in Jackson County, IL, the son of the late Henry J. and Goldia (Korando) Stueve. He had retired as an owner and parts manager of Metzger Equipment Co, Waterloo, IL and had been a member of V.F.W. Post #6504, Waterloo, IL, American Legion Post #581, Columbia, IL, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL, and was active with the Columbia Senior Center. He served as an Army Veteran of World War II. He was married to Edna (Garris) Poenitske, who survives him. They were married on December 7, 2003, at Columbia, IL.
