He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Emma, nee Haas, Boehm, an infant daughter: Becky Lynn Boehm, brothers: Alfred, Wilbert, Raymond, Elmer, Arthur, Edwin, Harvey and Lorraine Boehm and a sister: Florence Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Shirley Boehm, nee Blick, his daughter: Denise Boehm of Millstadt, IL., his son: Dwight (Liz Vollmer, DVM) Boehm DVM of Waterloo, IL., grandchildren: Mitch and Emma Boehm, sisters-in-law: Gloria Boehm, Irma Hecke and Goldie Boland all of Millstadt, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Lester retired after 30 years as a repair man for Peabody Coal. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt, IL., VFW Post 7980 in Millstadt, IL., and American Legion Post 502 in Millstadt, IL. Lester was a WWII army veteran. He loved to play Kloepper & belonged to the Wartburg Kloepper league, he enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and was an avid gardener. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt, IL., Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wartburg, IL. or Heartland Hospice.
