LeRoy K. Hoffmann's Obituary
LeRoy K. Hoffmann, 87 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on January 10, 2018 at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born November 16, 1930, in Maeystown, IL, son of the late Charles and Amelia, nee Schmidt, Hoffmann. He was married to the late Bertha, nee Yarbrough, Hoffmann. They had been married for over 59 years. She had passed away August 20, 2015.
LeRoy had worked as a sheet metal worker at McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing, St. Louis, MO, and was a 60+ year member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his son, Leroy C. (Glenda) Hoffmann of Swansea, IL; four daughters, Patricia (Don) Gruber of Columbia, IL, Marjorie Wilde of Capitola, CA, Mary LaMantia of West Palm Beach, FL, and Cynthia Tilly of Sunset, LA; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Joe) Briskey, Nicole LaMantia, Angelo LaMantia, Tommy LaMantia, Jr., Jeff (Janet) Gruber, and Dan Gruber; nine greatgrandchildren; a sister, Olivia B. Goodman of Waterloo, IL; nephews, nieces, along with other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Verona Goodman, Edna Kemp, Louisa Hartman, and Elvera Goodman; along with a brother, Charles Hoffmann; .
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
