Leona H. M. Hoffmann's Obituary
Leona H. Hoffmann, 91 years, of Branson West, MO, and formerly of Columbia, IL, passed away on May 3, 2018 at Wedgewood Gardens, Branson West, MO. She was born October 1, 1926, in New Hanover, IL, daughter of the late Frank and Louise, nee Bicklein, Neubarth. She was married to the late Ollie C. Hoffman. He had passed away on August 27, 2004.
Leona was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL, where she had been active with the Women's Fellowship, Monroe County Historical Society, and the American Legion Auxiliary #581. She had been the cafteria manager at the Columbia Unit #4 School District for 12 yrs., worked at Famous Barr for 38 yrs., and had been active as a real estate salesperson in Monroe County for over 30 yrs.
Surviving are her daughter, Judy (Larry) Sifford of Branson West, MO; son, Bob (Pat) Stumpf of Columbia, IL; grandchildren, Bobby, Bill, Barbara Ludwig, Ricky, and Ronnie Stumpf, and Justin and Ryan Sifford; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Rey of Columbia, IL, and Gladys Maus of Waterloo, IL, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Neubarth.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, 2018, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL, and on Monday, May 7, 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at St. Pul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday May 7, at the church with Pastor Bob Goddard officiating. Interment will follow in the Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo, IL.
