Leoma D. Heller's Obituary
Leoma D Heller, nee Voss, 86, of Venedy, IL. (formerly of Red Bud, IL), born, September 23, 1930 in Red Bud, IL., departed life Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Leoma was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Bud, where she was baptized on October 26, 1930, and confirmed on March 25, 1945. She was an avid quilter and loved to embroider.
Leoma was preceded in death by her, husband, Gilbert Heller, her parents, Fred and Anna, nee Gentsch, Voss, son Dale Heller, and 11 brothers and sisters.
Leoma is survived by her children, Joyce (Roger) Borrenpohl of Venedy, IL, Mary (Larry) Shirley of Lebanon, IL, Orville (Denise) Heller, and daughter-in-law, Vickie Heller of Red Bud, IL., 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren, her sisters Anita Mueller and Viola Muench. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran School.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Ill., and on Monday, March 6, 2017 an hour before the service at the church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Bud, IL. with pastors Russell Koen and Mark Nebel officiating.
Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Red Bud, IL.
