This just made me so sad when I read that Lela had passed away. She was just a wonderful person and boss at the school. She was always just so pleasant to be around. Heaven has gotten one of their angels back. We will never forget you Lela!! Ed and Missy (Mitzee) Breeding
Worked with Lela for years at Parkview. She made us cake for our birthday! Always so sweet and caring and loving and just a joy to be around!!!!!
"Grandma " Lela was an important part of our families life. She was always available for a hug or kind word. She made our daughters lives so much better because she made them feel that she was a part of their family. She was there for them on Grandparents Day when they were alone and attended their baptism as youngsters not babies.
I'm sure she is rejoicing in heaven with the rest of her family. Heaven has gained a true angel.
The Wegner family
Lela was loved by all!! She always made the most yummiest homemade lunches packed full of love for the kids and teachers everyday!!!! She greeted every student and teacher with a smile as she fed us and kept us strong!!! She truly was beautiful inside and out!!!
Clara and Lori, I am so sorry to hear this. I sure loved seeing her every day at the nursing home. She was absolutely the Best that Columbia school District ever had. She will truly be missed!
The Arras's were our neighbors for many years ... they built two homes in the area mostly on there own while I was under twelve years old. Still remember hitting up Mr Arras for a nickle so I could purchase a soda.
They were solid people who valued their neighbors and hard work ... could not ask for better neighbors. The world has lost the best of the best ........
Lori, you and your family are in our prayers take care, Kevin Hileman.
I'm so sorry to hear about Lela. What a great example of the human spirit. She was a bright light to our community and to me during high school. Always a smile and always happy to see you. God got a good one. Blessings to your family and know we are thinking of you.
