Lawrence L. Patterson's Obituary
Lawrence L. Patterson, 77 years of Millstadt, IL, passed away on June 18, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born August 8, 1947, in St. Louis, MO.
Lawrence worked as a switchman for Union Pacific up until his retirement. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Pfeffer and together raised two children. In his free time, he loved to deer hunt and fish for crappie. He always enjoyed watching a good old western movie. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Surviving are his daughter, Christy (Jeff) Rhodes, his son, Matthew (Pam) Patterson, his grandchildren, Shelby Rhodes, Megan Rhodes, Hayden Patterson & Kaleb Patterson, his sister, Barbara (Donald) Huggins, his brother, Floyd (Carol) Patterson, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn (nee Pfeffer) Patterson, his parents, Golden and Laura "Ruth" (nee Ferguson) Patterson.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 21, 2025 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home, Millstadt, IL. A private service and burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of customary remembrances and flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the Millstadt Senior Center.
