He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years: Dorothy Noethen, nee Baltz, his parents: John & Agatha Noethen, nee Hillenbrand, his sisters: Anne (Earl) Eugea, Louise (Joe) Hock, & Elizabeth ôElsieö (Ed) Mueller, and his brother: John (Fern, nee Gaines) Noethen,. He is survived by his daughter: Patricia Thompson of Dupo, IL., his granddaughter: Teresa (Brett) Rayburn of Columbia, IL., his grandson: Dave (Susan) Thompson of Collinsville, IL., great grandchildren: Dayne Ellen Rayburn of Columbia, IL., Emily Thompson of Collinsville, IL. & Elle Rey Rayburn of Columbia, IL., he is also survived by other relatives & friends. Jack retired from Teamsters Local 50 as a heavy equipment operator and also retired after 51 years as an elected trustee of Prairie Du Pont Levee District serving as President of the Board. He was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dupo, IL., 60 plus years of the VFW Post 6368 in Dupo, IL. and the American Legion Post 485 in Dupo, IL. He was a United States Army Veteran during the greatest generation, WWII. He served the United States Army in the Company E 19th Infantry as a guard patrolman, Asiatic Pacific Theater and Occupation of Japan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks.
