Lawrence Alan Berman's Obituary
Lawrence "Larry" Alan Berman, 69 years of Red Bud, IL, passed away, surrounded by his loved ones, on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born July 28, 1954.
Larry worked at Auffenberg Hyundai as a master mechanic and was a proud 30 year member of Local Lodge 313 - International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers. When Larry wasn't working, you could still find him working on cars in his spare time at his home, riding his motorcycle, walking around his property and enjoying the peacefulness of the country, especially with his pets, going to St. Louis Cardinal games with Adam and Mikaylah, and truly just spending time with his family. Most important to Larry though, were his grandchildren and nieces. Larry loved spending as much time with them as he could, he loved talking to them, always attending their events, and just watching them grow into the amazing individuals they are.
On, March 13, 1993, in Belleville, IL he was united in marriage to Tracy Wuller nee McCracken, and with this union, two families were joined. Tracy and Larry, shared thirty years together.
Larry was an extraordinary person. He was an amazing father to Adam, and upon his marriage to Tracy, became the most incredible bonus father to Lindsay and Lisa. Larry was the best friend to have and would be there in an instant for anyone who needed help. He was always ready for a conversation. He was the most positive and patient person. Larry made an impact on the lives of everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy Berman, son, Adam Berman, daughter, Lindsay (Chris) Tripp, and daughter, Lisa (James) Dierks, his six grandchildren, Isabelle Tripp, Mikaylah Berman, Sofia Tripp, Ameila Deterding, Iris Deterding, and Ezra Dierks, his four sisters, Barbara, Sally, Janet, and Joan, his two brothers, Drew and Tom, his sister-in-law, Jenny (Dave) Geralds, his brother-in-law, Michael (Sherri) McCracken, his nieces, Ashley (Justin), Olivia, Aubriegh, and Penelope, and many other beloved family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Benjamin B. Berman, his mother, Anna Jo Berman, his brother Benjamin B. Berman Jr., his sister, Charlotte Berman, his mother-in-law, Judith B. McCracken, and his father-in-law, Clarence "Skip" McCracken.
Celebration of Life will be held at, Catholic War Vets Post 370, 3535 S. Route 159, Belleville, IL on Friday, February 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to American Heart Association 460 N. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63141.
