Laura Ruth Patterson, 87 yrs., of Columbia, IL. She was born in Festus, MO, the daughter of the late Harold and Laura (Goodman) Ferguson. She had been a member of First Baptist Church, Columbia, IL, and was retired as a press operator from Bohn & Dawson, St. Louis, MO. Ruth was an avid reader, puzzle solver, as well as the family historian. She was married to the late Golden Patterson. He passed away July 8, 1986. They were married on August 1, 1943 in East St. Louis, IL.
